01 Apr 2020 - Marsha Tests
Most people don’t understand me when I tell them I grew up on Mars. My name is Marsha and I was born in 2077 on a small moisture farm just outside of Musk Eisley. Growing up on a farm was hard, but it was even harder to transition to earth life during my study abroad. I just felt so heavy all the time, and all that gravity gave me the worst headaches.
I will never forget the craziest moment of my life. It was April 1st, 2095 and I was just setting out for home - only a week in transit. Then there was this massive flash of yellow light. We must have hit a gnarly space-time anomaly because we were instantly transported back to April 1st, 2017. Luckily we were able to make it back to earth, but our ship was toast. We were stuck for good.
It is a terrible feeling knowing that nobody is on your home planet. Hearing people say that colonizing Mars isn’t practical makes me so mad. The worst part is that everybody thinks I am absolutely crazy. It doesn’t help that I haven’t given up on 2070s fashion.
If I had one message to give to the world, it would be this: please don’t just assume people are from the same planet you are! Also, don’t give up on Mars. I want to go home.
Happy April fool’s day! This was a test post!
